Neil Barrett has quickly become one of my favorite designers. I love his smart use of color blocking and the looser fit of most of his pieces yet without any bagginess. One of my favorite collections by him is definitely his Fall/Winter 2013 collection, especially his color block, geometric sweatshirts, which made me happy to see him wearing his black cotton contrast panel sweatshirt with leather detailing to the Prada cocktail party during Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2014. This sweatshirt, in particular, is easily my favorite piece from the entire collection and the leather panels add just enough edge to it.

On a side note, did you know Barrett was an instrumental figure to the starting of Prada’s menswear line in the 90s? If I am honest, I had no idea, but it is indeed true he worked closely with Prada to develop their menswear range before starting his own label in 1999. No wonder I have liked Prada Menswear so much!
